Alder Alley
Design and permitting of our main structures will take a while. In the meantime, we wanted to start exploring what we do on our own to keep us feeling connected to the property and progressing. Our first order of business was getting an arborist out to clean up the bluff. It was really important to keep our trees and the salal holding the cliff in place. We wanted to clean up the limbs and underbrush to create a cleaner view and ensure everything was healthy and not going to fall on our eventual structures.
The driveway to Camp Greyhaven is wooded and when we bought it, mostly inaccessible. During the site visit with our arborist, we did a little trailblazing and realized there was an untapped, magical space. We discovered an obvious walking path and enough room for an entire discovery zone. It took a single day with a skid steer and now the start of our wooded wonderland that includes our Glamping area, Alder Alley, The Chapel (less church and more campfires and singalongs!), and an eventual disc golf course.
